I started this whole beauty blog because I love to write but am not completely comfortable sharing things that are too personal with the world. My beauty boxes are fun and easy to share. I never thought that I would have readers, much less great offers from amazing companies. So imagine my surprise when Glossybox contacted me a month ago after reading my blog and asked if I would like a free Glossybox to review. I didn’t hesitate to respond with a “Yes, of course!” I am so thankful that they thought of me and that I accepted. I am IN LOVE with the first USA Glossybox!
I am so excited to share what I receive with you, but first, a little about the company. Glossybox has become increasingly popular all over the globe (over 15 other countries) and has just come to the US this year (lucky us)! For $21 per month, you will receive FIVE deluxe travel/full size items in your box. Yes, you are promised 5 deluxe items. In my first box, I received six items and only one of them was not a full size product. To sign up, you fill out a beauty profile and choose your subscription plan. Right now you can sign up for their newsletter, but it is not open for registration. I would sign up for the newsletter and keep an eye out for when they do open up if you are interested because I have a feeling they will go quickly!

Kyrolan High Gloss in Toffee

At first I didn’t think I was going to be a big fan of this gloss. It has a brush wand and is very thick and pale. I decided to try it out anyway, and after I wore it for a few minutes (read: once my sloppy job of putting it on evened out), the color was GORGEOUS! It was a very pretty, natural color that lasted for hours. I thought that this would be a giveaway product for a lucky friend, but there is no way I am letting this go now! Sorry girls! :)
Erno Laszlo Hollywood Collection

I am not certain of the value of this sample as the size of the packets are not indicated. I would assume it is of high value as the full size retails for $125 and the jars are only .5 oz. each. These packets appear to be pretty full and I cannot wait to try them out and review them!
O.P.I. Kiss Me On My Tulips Polish

I absolutely LOVE this color, so much in fact that I already own it! Since a second polish was really unnecessary for me, I took this polish back to Sun Tan City where I purchased the original and they allowed me to exchange it for another color. O.P.I. is my favorite brand of polish and I was thrilled with the unexpected bonus of getting to shop for a new amazing color. :)
Cargo Eyebronzer

When I first saw this, I thought it was a liquid eyeliner, but once I opened it and saw the tip, I decided to use it as a shadow and blended it in. Talk about instant tan! This product came at the perfect time just before summer. I was so glad that this was included in the box because I probably would have never tried it on my own.
C.O. Bigelow Lavendar and Peppermint Body Lotion

This lotion is the perfect combination of thick and creamy/easy to apply. It has a very calming scent. It does not have a flowery smell like I would use all over my body, but it has the perfect scent for my self pedicures! As you can see in the picture it is a fairly decent travel size, perfect to throw in a purse or tote!
Basq Cucumber Tea Soothing Eye Gel

This eye gel could not have come at a more perfect time. The night before this arrived, I watched The Last Song (of course I cried for 20 straight minutes) and was upset over the passing a friend. That morning my eyes were beyond puffy and swollen (seriously, you have NO idea how bad it is when my eyes are swollen, Be thankful you didn’t have to see me!). Thank goodness I did not have to work that day. I applied this eye gel and felt instant relief. A few hours later my boyfriend came home from work and I asked if he could tell my eye were puffy or swollen and he couldn’t at all. He is very honest about that kind of thing, too. Consider this my new miracle eye gel!

One last part about Glossybox that I adore is that the site is so user friendly. As a beauty blogger, I usually spend at least 30 minutes trying to track down sizes, figure out values, etc. because the information is not available on the website of where I received the sample. Glossybox has large pictures, product info, prices, and links to buy on each of their featured products. I have never been able to write a blog post so quickly!
